What is an IFSP?
The Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) is a written plan created to meet the individual needs, concerns, and priorities of individual children, from birth to age 3, and their families. The plan states the family's desired outcomes for their child and themselves and lists the early intervention services and supports that will help meet those outcomes. It also describes when, where, and how the services will be delivered.

An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is a legally binding, written document for public school children in the U.S. (ages 3+) with disabilities, ensuring they receive specialized instruction and services at no cost. The Role of Child Find Helps to promote general public awareness of services available for children and youth who have or are at risk of developing disabilities. Assists in locating, identifying, and obtaining services for children who have or are at risk of developing disabilities Screens children and youth to determine if they need to be formally evaluated. Services preschool children 3-5 years of age (who have not yet entered Kindergarten in the public school setting) and Private school children ages 5-18 years old.
